Dhokla Recipe:- Dhokla is a very healthy and tasty food and the main thing in this recipe is that there is no oil used to make Dhokla. It cooks in steam, as much as it is delicious to eat, it is also good for health. If you are avoiding fried and oily food, then Dhokla can be a good option for you. There are many different ways to prepare Dhokla and it can be made from different things, like some likes gram flour (besan) dhokla, some people likes to have Rava (Suji) dhokla. But today, we will tell you how to make the dhokla recipe from besan.

Ingredients required to make Dhokla Recipe:-

  • Gram flour (250 grams)
  • Green Chillies (one-fourth teaspoon)
  • Ginger (grind in half a spoon and make a paste)
  • Turmeric (one-fourth teaspoon)
  • Lemon (2 teaspoons juice)
  • Rayee (mustard seeds) (half teaspoon)
  • Green Coriander (one teaspoon)
  • Oil (one tablespoon)
  • Salt (according to your taste)
  • Eno Salt
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon

Method of making Instant Dhokla Recipe:-

  • First, you sieve the gram flour and then stir it by adding light water to it.
  • When it becomes slightly thick then add turmeric to it and mix it well. Remember there should not be any clump in gram flour, now keep it covered for 10 minutes.
  • While the gram flour is flowering, then you take water in a big pot and then place a small pot inside the big pot.
  • Put the lemon juice, salt, green chilli and ginger paste in the gram flour batter which is kept for flowering and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now put a little Eno salt into the ready dhokla batter and stir it immediately, if you get bubbles in the batter, then put it in the small pot which is placed inside the big pot and place the lid over the big pot.
  • Let it cook in the steam for the next 20 minutes, after said time your dhokla must have been cooked, now you take out the cooked dhokla and let it cool down.
  • When the dhokla cools down, cut it into the shape of your choice with the help of a knife, now put green coriander in it, your dhokla is ready.

Apply Tadka for Dhokla Recipe:

  • Now put a pan on the gas and add oil, when the oil gets hot, add mustard seeds and green chilli and fry it for a few seconds, then add 1 cup of water, sugar and salt into the pan and wait for a boil. You need to stir the mixer during the boil and add lemon juice into the mixer.
  • Pour this liquid mixer over the Dhokla and your dhokla recipe is ready to eat. Serve the Dhokla to your family members and yourself to enjoy the taste.
